The Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 1 “1961” Releases On September 8th

Despite being one of the newer additions to the Jumpman family, Eastside Golf has already amassed a number of collaborative offerings. And it seems they have no plans of slowing things down anytime soon, as the brand has confirmed that their “1961” collection will be releasing later this September.

In addition to the Jordan ADG 4 and the Air Jordan 6 Low, Eastside Golf will be putting their spin on the Air Jordan 1 Golf. Much like its counterparts, the pair champions inclusivity, nodding to the year during which the PGA lifted the ban on non-white players. This is embodied by way of the packaging and the shoes themselves, as “CHANGE” and “1961” are written atop the box and the heel counters, respectively.

Elsewhere, the Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 1 echoes the look of the Air Jordan 1 “Bred,” making use of a near identical color blocking. There are, of course, notable differences in regards to design: alongside replacing red with “Malachite,” the pair features gilded Wings and a vintage-inspired, pre-yellowed midsole. What’s more, “Eastside Golf” is written in cursive all throughout the Swoosh and the brand’s signature logo is both stamped atop the tongue and turned into an accessory.

Enjoy a closer, official look at the Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 1 “1961” ahead as we awaits its release on September 8th.
