The collaboration, however, recently became available via www.off—white.com, a sign that the pair will likely be exclusive to the late Virgil Abloh’s label and not hit Nike SNKRS.

During the two years that preceded his unfortunate passing, Virgil Abloh battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer. In spite of this, the designer would go on to create not only several collections but also what is arguably one of the most iconic sneaker collaborations of all-time. And even in passing, Abloh continues to leave his mark, as never-before-seen pairs are still surfacing to this day.
The latest to be revealed is a scrapped rendition of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid, which features the same grim reaper-inspired graphic embroidered onto the upcoming “Varsity Maize” colorway. Here, though, this visual is blown up in size and airbrushed multiple times over top a white leather base, matching blacked-out fixtures like the sole, Swoosh, and accompanying branding. Pops of green then top off the design by way of the main laces and side tab.
Said to be one of only two in existence, this Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid will likely never see a retail release. We can, however, enjoy a detailed look at the pair courtesy of @sneakerknockerzllc.
