Jared Ebanks Fresh off of their first collaborative installment with New Balance in seven months, JJJJound is taking another crack at the NB 2002R this coming winter, this time featuring weather-resistant GORE-TEX tooling.
In stark contrast to the greyscale palette that adorned the Montreal-based design houses’ October installment, the staple runner instead opts for a strict two-toned color blocking steeped in the brand’s understated aesthetic. Bringing to mind the model’s 2021 “Triumph Green” colorway, the upcoming joint effort sees a litany of suede overlays assume a muted shade of evergreen. Wrapping along the mudguard, quarter and a majority of the heel, the base layer’s ballistic mesh tooling then receives a jet-black juxtaposition that stretches further pitch-dark color matches to the profile N logo, inner lining and the sole unit underfoot.
