In Paris, France this past summer, Sneaker News got a detailed look into the insights and design choices behind Zion Williamson’s third signature silhouette with Jordan Brand. Revolving around his “Out The Mud” mentality, the Jordan Zion 3’s digital haptic print provides containment properties while harkening to various types of mud found within Zion’s home state of South Carolina. For the latest release of the drop-in midsole constructed silhouette, the low-top trim executes a stunning homage to the bright foliage of a lotus flower.
Merging the titular hues of the flower with the silhouette’s design ethos, the “Pink Lotus” colorway draws direct inspiration from the Lotus Flower’s ability to grow and flourish amidst the murkiest of conditions. From the intricate embroidery at the heel to the upper’s textile base and the futuristic sole unit, the entirety of the model is cured in a duo of hot pink hues that lighten slightly across the haptic print detailing that consumes the upper.
The Jordan Zion 3 “Pink Lotus” is scheduled to release on January 30th for a retail price of $140. In the meantime, the pair can be seen below in first-look imagery ahead of Zion debuting the triple-pink colorway on December 1st against the San Antonio Spurs.
For more on-court toolings, the KD 3 “Christmas” returns in retro form on December 23rd.
