The Air Jordan 1 Low continues to emerge in new styles.

The lifestyle-oriented take on Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker has delivered a healthy mix of heritage and modern looks. In recent months, the sneaker has surfaced in at least two ensembles prepped for the Year of the Dragon. As 2024 inches closer, Peter Moore’s beloved design from 1985 has appeared in yet another makeover seemingly inspired by Far East Asian traditions. A combination of “Phantom,” “Star Blue,” and “Coconut Milk” tones divvy up real estate across the shoe, crafting a refreshing Air Jordan 1. Suede and leather panels across the upper elevate the pair’s construction, with the lower heel opting for a refined look that’s reminiscent of previous “Vachetta Tan” offerings from Nike, Inc. Profile swooshes, however, deviate from their surroundings in a “Star Blue” denim build that boasts ornate contrast stitching details. The design cue resembles past “Sashiko” styles from the Air Jordan line, styles rooted in centuries-old practices from Japan.

Underfoot, the “Special Edition” (SE) AJ1 Low keeps things simple, but classy. An off white-colored midsole delivers an air of age to the project. Moore’s iconic radial-patterned outsole opts for a semi-translucent brown finish that complements leather bits up-top, as well as the inner-lining.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined” is set to release in early 2024.
