Sneaker News Updated February 7th, 2024: An official lookbook for the Danielle Cathari x New Balance 991v2 has been revealed. The shoes will drop exclusively at Kith via a Draw through the Kith App.
Amsterdam-based Danielle Cathari gets her first crack at a New Balance collaboration as she brings a personal favorite flavor to the 991v2 silhouette.
Revamped with moder performance in mind, the New Balance 991v2 has been running in two parallel verticals of in-line basic colorways and collaborative efforts with the likes of Stone Island and Patta. Danielle Cathari now joins that latter society as she brings in a decadent green shade on the suede upper paired with a dark brown mesh, and based on her Instagram carousel, the colorway may be inspired by matcha-dusted chocolate treats. Also revealed in her social media account is a tech pack of the design, which reveals a modified heel-logo that co-brands New Balance 991v2 with her insignia.
As of the publishing of this article, additional images have yet to be shared, but the newly appointed creative director for Kith Women reveals that the shoes will indeed launch on February 9th. Full drop details, in-depth photos, and a release schedule will be shared soon.
