The Air Max Plus 3, though it may not be receiving the same top-line treatment as some of its cousins in the AM family, has been a year-in, year-out Nike staple for the past several years. Not to be left out of the celebration that began this year with the Air Max Dn, the model revived in 2019 is getting its own “All Night”-adjacent makeover.
The debut releases for the Dn split between two different bright, blacked-out colorways. The profile of those announcements make the nocturnal, pink tinted lean of this AMP 3 an instant connection in our heads, especially given how those palettes have appeared on other models, from the “All Day” Air Max Plus Drift to the “All Day” Air Max Plus.
In truth, here the rosy shades on the swoosh and lace tabs do a lot of heavy lifting in drawing a through-line between these releases. The white to black gradient featured on the mesh upper and on the line work atop the air unit are much brighter than their counterparts elsewhere, but nonetheless still impart that same eclipse atmosphere.
With the launch of the Dn still several weeks away, the “All Night” Air Max Plus 3 serves both as a way to add anticipation to that big reveal, and a way for you to get in early on one of Nike’s central thematic pushes for 2024. They will arrive for $190 over the next several weeks, eschewing a solid release date for a gradual rollout to retailers.
Elsewhere in the product line, the Air Max Plus rolled out in three adjacent colorways in purple, teal and red.
