Be it the multitudes of remodels that the Air Jordan 1 has received, or the “Futura” line that made the Nike Air Max 97 or Nike Air Max 90 a women’s only proposition, Oregon silhouettes get retooled on a very regular basis. Already somewhat in the spotlight via a new offshoot model, the Nike Air Max Plus is next up for that treatment, fitted for the trail in a debut “Patina” look for their “Hiker” turn.
The ACG-like revamp is comprehensive here, adding a zip closure sleeve over top that’s ostensibly intended to make this model entirely waterproof. Additionally, a small detachable bag is added onto the design at the heel. However, once those are taken down or taken away, the original Air Max Plus design still shines through. Whether it’s the iconic spindly overlays, the Tn branding or the intact midsole & mudguard design, the original model isn’t lost in the process of this rebrand.
The Nike Air Max Plus Hiker opts for a chemically accurate copper and teal scheme in its use of “Patina,” most prominently featured on the medial Swoosh, but also literally cracking through on the midsole and draping the camo bag.
Release details for the Nike Air Max Plus Hiker are as of now very limited, but as always stay tuned- we’ll keep this page current as that information comes out. For now, enjoy a full gallery of official images just ahead.
