Futura Unveils Second Never-Before-Seen Nike SB Dunk; Confirms May 2024 Release

New red/pink version may be for Friends & Family only.

Futura Unveils Second Never-Before-Seen Nike SB Dunk; Confirms May 2024 Release

Futura’s distingushed, abstract style of street art and graffiti is evidently sought after based on the sheer number of collaborations he’s done in the last year alone. Among the various projects he’s lent a hand in, few strike the gotta-have-it energy like a Nike SB Dunk; considering the influential outcome of all of his partnerships with Nike SB, it’s clear that this upcoming release will be among the most-wanted sneakers of 2024.

Although the blue version has been well documented since we first caught wind of the shoe in mid-2023, Futura just revealed a second, never-before-seen version of his design. It features the same abstract, ethereal color sprays consistent on both colorways, but with a few key difference; the reddish pair features his script-like insignia whereas the blue opts for the bold “FL”. Furthermore, there is no mesh base layer on the toe-box or the mid-panel; rather, additional painted surfaces appear in their place. The second alternate version also utilizes translucent outsoles, customized tongue labels, and co-branded insoles.

However, it is possible that this second version is a Friends & Family version only, meaning a public release will not occur. Futura does reveal that his Nike SB Dunk collaboration will be releasing in May 2024, although finite details have not been disclosed (such as the release date, price, where it’ll drop, etc.), but you can count on Sneaker News to deliver that information once its shared. Stay tuned for those crucial updates, detailed images, and more.
