Among the most internet-breaking runway moments in sneakers has to be Feng Chen Wang‘s debut of her 2-in-1 Chuck 70 creation in the Fall of 2018. It took two years, but fans patiently awaited its arrival on October of 2020 as the unique re-imagination of the classic exploded at retail as one of the most-wanted sneakers of the year.
Noted for its sole cut into four pieces, the 2-in-1 Chuck 70 also featured multiple layers to emanate the super-imposed aesthetic of two shoes in one. Most recently in January of this year, we saw a distressed and dirtied take in a fitting grungy aesthetic with frayed and stained canvas uppers. But for its next chapter, the Chinese-born designer opts for a toned down appeal while adding a mid-foot strap that now houses the label’s namesake.
Arriving on May 7th for $150, the Feng Chen Wang x Converse Chuck 70 Ox will be available in both Egret/Black and Black/White. Still employing a multi-layered look, these Chucks differ via the aforementioned velcro strap for easier lockdown.
