The exterior cage TPU is now welded seamlessly onto the sport mesh upper, while corded elastic cables provide an additional lockdown for that hiking aesthetic. However, there seems to be no added armoring around the toe, and the traction on the outsole remains as is. Could you go hiking in the Air Max Plus Utility? Probably, but not really recommended for trails beyond relatively flat and un-rocky ground. They’ll look good with your OOTD, though.
With an MSRP of $195, the Air Max Plus Utility in the new Tan/Black is set to hit Nike.com later this Summer 2024 season.
