With Nike’s continued emphasis on innovation and newness, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that said initiative extends to their most classic offerings. The iconic Nike Blazer is one of the more recent models to receive that treatment, bent, twisted and chopped into the Nike Blazer Pro Club. As the modified silhouette gets further removed from its introduction, it’s carving out its own lane- something accomplished well by the upcoming “University Gold” edition.
This is a microcosm of a frequent Nike strategy with offshoot models. Rather than continue experimental design in the palette, this shoe opts for a more conservative white & yellow layout, only interrupted by an off-white midsole and grey suede eyestays. It allows the out-of-left-field construction to speak for itself, and easier fit into consumer wardrobes than if it opted for a wilder color swatch. All the same, the added rubber swatch, modified foot entrance and exposed foam tongue carry enough to stand out from the mainline Nike Blazer.
The Nike Blazer Pro Club Low “University Gold” is projected to drop this Summer, carrying a $100 retail price. Enjoy official images ahead.
With the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” now behind us, the next high heat drop on the Jordan Release Dates 2024 slate is the Air Jordan 1 Low “Shadow.”
