The Air Jordan 1 Low “Motion” Alludes To The Iconic Jumpman Photo

The latest Air Jordan 1 Low alludes to one of the most iconic pieces of media in Jordan Brand history; the iconic Jumpman photo. While the origins of said photo aren’t as you might expect, it’s been a central part of Air Jordan branding since the very beginning.

The “Motion” AJ1 Low gets its unofficial nickname from the red Jumpman logos that appear on the tongue, made to look like they’re in air with stripes on the left side. The overlays and collar are comprised of a dusk-like “Aegean Storm” blue shade, while the Swoosh logos swap between “Armory Navy” and red on the lateral and medial sides, respectively. When you consider the significance of the colors alongside the unique Jumpman logo, it’s not hard to draw connections to the twilight backdrop that framed Mike’s famous pose. Continuing to harken back to the 80s, “Pale Ivory” accounts for the midsole and laces so as to add a clear pre-aged feel.

See our “Where To Buy” section below if you’re compelled to cop a pair; the shoes are available now in men’s sizing for $125.
