Andrew Rizzo Updated June 27th, 2024: Action Bronson officially reveals his upcoming New Balance Minimus Trail collaboration. In response to recently leaked images that depicted the Queens rapper wearing the shoes, he admits that he may not be the best foot model for this silhouette in particular, but confirms that the collaboration is rife with performance, style, and pizzazz.
When one door closes, another opens. Just as the Queens-bred icon concludes the staggered release of three hyped-up Action Bronson New Balance collaborations, he’s already stroking anticipation for what’s next on social media.
Having already explored the lifestyle niche via the 1906R and New Balance 990v6 last year, Bam Bam now takes his unparalleled eye for storytelling to the trail shoe genre, previewing an upcoming New Balance Minimus Trail collaboration on his IG story with the caption “NEXT UP.” Like every Action Bronson shoe thus far, we see a lively color palette consisting of blue, green, red, and yellow shades, although the design is probably best examined once we get additional images and context surrounding its inspiration.
The Minimus Trail itself flies far under the radar, but given the Action Bronson touch, that might not be the case for long. General release pairs (as pictured below) feature an all-mesh upper, sharp features near the heel, grippy tread, and very low height. However, given the outside-the-box nature of Action’s 1906R series, we should expect his upcoming Minimus Trail collab to look far different than mainline versions.
