Even with new entries in Joe Freshgoods New Balance or Action Bronson New Balance, Teddy Santis remains the Boston brand’s steadiest partner. That’s of course two-pronged, stretching from his lead creative role MADE in USA to his work as founder/director of Aime Leon Dore. While we await first looks at FW24 MiUSA offerings, we’re getting a sneak peak at what the ALD & NB have planned next, an autumnal execution of the New Balance 990v4.
Orange & grey are the dominant color swatches here, of course manifesting with suede overlays up top and reflective mesh underneath. Steely nubuck underlines a few of the cut outs, accenting a premium atmosphere that the materials overall embrace. Underfoot is arguably the most intriguing section of this shoe, split by the ENCAP unit between a typical pure white midsole and aged off-white at the rear. That shading continues on the outsole, outlined by splotches of black that creep up onto the body of the shoe at the toe.
Release information for this shoe is understandably scant at the moment. Going off of similar releases, a retail price around $210 is expected. You can catch an additional in-hand shot below, originally posted by Joey Padilla.
