Five Years Later, The Nike Shox TL “Racer Blue” Is Back

Can Shox make a comeback?

Five Years Later, The Nike Shox TL “Racer Blue” Is Back

Where do Nike Shox fit within the ongoing Y2K sneaker wave? That’s a question that has yet to be answered definitively, but all signs suggest Nike’s placing more attention on what’s arguably its most distinguishable footwear series. The Shox R4 and Shox TL have both started to re-surface in past colorways for Fall 2024, with 2019’s Shox TL “Racer Blue” being the latest.

Named after the cushioning chambers that span the “total” length of the sole, the model adopts a stealthy yet sporty aesthetic here. The titular hue appears most notably on the top portion of the sole, also touching up the Swoosh piping and ancillary elements on the tongue and heel. Adding some intrigue to an otherwise all-black shoe, glossy TPU treatments join the eyelets with the sole across the upper.

There’s actually an additional “Racer Blue” colorway from 2019 on tap for Fall 2024, that pair featuring the same exact color blocking but with “Wolf Grey” in place of black as seen here.

The Nike Shox TL “Racer Blue” drops August 6th for $170 in Europe, but no stateside release date has been floated at the time of this writing. Know that this page as well as our Sneaker Release Dates hub will display all the most recent, accurate information as it comes in.
