Ding Yun Zhang Returns To The adidas Samba With Padded Ankles

Though the adidas Yeezy relationship is no more, the influence of their output lives on. A major sector of that is the many designers who stepped through Ye’s doors , his “coaching tree” extended into all corners of the industry. We’re sticking on the home front though, as former Yeezy designer Dingyun Zhang is reuniting with the Three Stripes for their second collab capsule once again centered around the adidas Samba.

Considering Zhang’s extensive work in outerwear, the puffed, pronounced collar of his three adidas Sambas aligns well with his in-house designs. Though the glossy, nocturnal atmosphere is gone, the pair in all-white is a natural continuation, inverting his first pair with an all-suede build that still maintains an icy atmosphere overall. It’s the pair in brown & red that stands as the most unexpected, cooking up a novel color-blocking scheme with dominant brown hues contrasted by a grey foot entrance and red tongue & laces.

These two Dingyun Zhang adidas Samba pairs arrive on October 18th, either shoe retailing at $250. Catch detailed images ahead with respective “Where To Buy” updated with direct pick-up links upon arrival.
