If you weren’t already aware, the Air Jordan line is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an absolutely stacked calendar year of releases in 2025. We’ve spent the past few months giving you case-by-case breakdowns of what’s to come, and now with New Year’s Day in the rear-view mirror, we’re ready to dive into all the new Jordans on tap this month.
While 2025 as a whole is jam-packed with hyped pairs, January is relatively scant by comparison. Even still, there’s plenty to unpack. The Black Cat 3s are returning for the first time ever on January 11th, this time landing in full family sizes. Jordan Brand is also celebrating the “Year Of The Snake” with a handful of lifestyle and performance releases, arriving towards the end of the month alongside the annual Doernbecher shoe lineup.
We’ve compiled a full list of January’s most notable Jordan drops below for your convenience, accompanied of course by dates and purchase links. It’s always possible that more could be added, so be sure to bookmark our Jordan Release Dates page for any and all updates throughout January and the months to follow.
Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” (January 11th)
The first January release is also the month’s most significant. The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” is returning in retro form for the first time ever, arriving in full family sizes on January 11th. The 2007 drop was the second “Black Cat” Jordan to hit shelves, arriving a year after the Black Cat 4s (which are returning Holiday 2025, by the way).
