High-Contrast “Black/Silver” Graces The New Balance 1906 Loafer

Like it or not, new colorways are coming soon.

High-Contrast “Black/Silver” Graces The New Balance 1906 Loafer

There are quite a few folks who’d rather leave the divisive New Balance 1906 loafer in 2024, but the slip-on version of New Balance’s trending tech runner looks to be a recurring guest on our newswire for the foreseeable future. Hot on the heels of a “Dark Juniper” colorway, we’re now learning that a “Black/Silver” arrangement is also en route for Spring 2025.

For better or worse, the high-contrast pairing of black and silver ensures these will break necks, perhaps more so than any other previewed colorway to date. Flashy metallic silver leather comprises the tech-heavy toe and quarter paneling, matched by the TPU counter that hugs the heel. The midsole echoes the upper with greyscale treatments, working in an extra dash of silver on the medial side.

It’s worth mentioning that every 1906L thus far has sold out instantly and goes for well above retail on the aftermarket, so it’s safe to say this “Black/Silver” colorway probably won’t be any different. If you’re interested in hopping on the hype train, expect a Spring 2025 release for the usual $160 retail price.
