The 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 kicked off with a banger, with the “Black Metallic Reimagineds” spawning considerable demand and some welcome consumer energy in the Q1. As we step further into the year, top-shelf retro releases and collaborations are beginning emerge at a torrid pace. That includes the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore,” shown here via new detailed images.
While originally expected to release in May, @zsneakerheadz reports a new date of June 7th, 2025. This isn’t our first look at the sneaker, but the gallery below tips off a crucial detail that wasn’t present in first look images. The tissue paper features the date for Juneteenth (June 19th), which is the day we commemorate the end of slavery here in the states.
This marks the third A Ma Maniére x Jordan 5 thus far, with James Whitner’s imprint previously releasing a “Dusk” and “Dawn” pack in 2023. Stitched “Nike Air” and “23” lettering appears on the heel and lateral side here, respectively, and the quarter netting is subtly altered with AMM’s signature monogram. A pinched collar and quilted interior lining usher in qualities from AMM’s recent Jordan 4 and Jordan 3 collabs, while original “Nike” text lands on the outsole next to an AMM logo.
As mentioned, the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore” is now expected to release June 7th. The sneaker is due out in men’s sizes for a retail price of $225. Keep our Jordan Release Dates 2025 page handy for any and all updates until then.
