The era of Shai’s signature is upon us, and following the debut “Butter,” three family-inspired styles drop together on October 2nd, including the Converse SHAI 001 “Hail Clay.”
To date, monochromatic colorings have been the home base of the SHAI 001, unchanged as an ode to his “Most Valuable Person” touches down on the nascent silhouette. Inspired by Mrs. Gilgeous-Alexander, Hailey Summers, and her eye color, the “Hail Clay” now appears in a Sears-style photo shoot depicting the couple, each sporting the namesake kicks for the occasion.
With the “Butter” becoming an instant sellout, dropping the second chapter as a three-pack is a suitable way to give back to the fans, providing real optionality after that box-office debut. However, judging from the continuing anticipation for the silhouette and grey market pricing, don’t count on these being an easy cop all the same.
The Converse SHAI 001 “Hail Clay” touches down on October 2nd via Converse.com and partnering retailers, clocking in with a $130 sticker price. The SHAI 001 “Charm Black” and SHAI 001 “Masi Blue” accompany this earthy edition via those same channels.
