MENACE Channels Its Latino Heritage On The adidas Superstar

Steven Mena, founder of Los Angeles–based streetwear label MENACE, is releasing an adidas Superstar collaboration rooted in his Latino heritage.

Every design choice is intentional. A rugged hairy suede upper pays homage to workwear and working-class culture, while a soft satin sock liner nods to the mattresses Mena slept on as a child. The pink hue serves as a tribute to his mother and her favorite flower, the rose — a symbol of the sacrifices immigrant parents make to give their children opportunities.

Paisley stitching adds a signature MENACE touch, complemented by the brand’s Yankees-inspired “M” logo embroidered on the right heel tab. The tongue showcases navy blue MENACE branding alongside an embossed Trefoil and diamond-plate steel pattern — a motif echoed inside the shoebox. Bolt-shaped eyestays subtly extend the industrial theme, the stripes are embroidered in navy, and two small rectangular patches on the lateral side add some welcome depth.

The MENACE adidas Superstar retails for $180 and will be available through adidas CONFIRMED on October 21, 2025. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming adidas collabs.
