HIDDEN NY And ASICS Are Back In Action For ComplexCon

Through exclusive shock drops and an overall mysterious digital footprint, HIDDEN NY has jumped from moodboard to tastemaker, creating a snowball effect that’s managed to roll over and factor in a ton of major brands. When it comes to footwear, ASICS has proved their most reliable partner, now chalking off another chapter as Complex’s Las Vegas showcase looms.

Starting with a custom project on the GT-2160 alongside JW Customs, the brands’ partnership became solid in 2024. Their GEL-NYC was the first official step, followed by a GEL-Venture 6 in the closing half of the year and an ultra-exclusive GEL-NYC 2055 before ’24 was out. Though their breakneck pace has slowed in the year following, this marks another extremely clean effort from the duo, HIDDEN again relying on its trademark white/green color scheme for the GEL-DS Trainer 14. Either shade does much of the heavy lifting, with chrome accents between, maintaining a throwback air.

On a strategic level, this is almost a confirmation of HIDDEN as a preferred partner, enlisted by the Japanese giant to put its weight behind a spotlighted model throughout this year (see previous Kiko Kostadinov, Temptation Vacation, and Stefon Diggs-authored takes).

As mentioned in our title, the HIDDEN x ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14 will release first via HIDDEN’s presence at ComplexCon (October 25th and 26th). It’s currently unknown whether a wider launch via HIDDEN will follow, but we’re certainly not ruling it out.
