A thunderous addition to the budding relationship.

In a rare instance of a collaborator swapping from the Stripes to the Swoosh, Palace ended their long-standing relationship with the German giant and has hit the ground running with its foremost rival. While the Palace x Nike Total 90 III SP, its associated apparel collection, and a range of city-specific co-branded wear have been plenty splashy introductions in their own right, we and surely some of the public have been eagerly anticipating one teased far in advance, the Palace x Nike Air Max DN8.

Indeed, it was information regarding the capsule at hand that first indicated that the London-based imprint would be defecting in the first place, first reported by Brendan Dunne (then of Complex) with nary a whisper in the time between. Perhaps keeping things mum was intentional, as official images of three colorways of the eight-chambered silhouette mark the first update on that story since news broke all the way back in December 2024.

A hot collaborative silhouette for the Swoosh already, the Nike Air Max DN8 arguably undergoes its wildest transformation to date under the stewardship of Palace, letting loose three shoes united in a throwback, maximalist lightning theme. Two of them let that graphic print across the mesh take center stage, delivered with “Dusty Grey” and “Black” primary hues and relegating “Safety Orange” to the trim; said fierty tones appear with “Palace” text above translucent toge-guards, as well as centralized in the back half with the collars, metallic Swooshes, and continuations of the midsole stripes.

Inverting that arrangement is pair three of three, elevating orange to run point, and instead utilizing that same “Dusty Grey” as a counterbalance. While it may be the most immediately attention-grabbing, its stealthier counterparts have a genuine claim to the best detail in this set, as the eight Dynamic Air chambers carry heterochromatic coloring between the front and back four. Of course, lest you forget the brand behind this trio, the intersecting Tri Ferg/Swoosh logo sits at the front of a hefty dose of co-branding.

Though official images allow us to get a clear sense of what all three Palace x Nike Air Max DN8 pairs will behold upon release, finer details on when that’ll come about haven’t surfaced just yet. This collab is still projected for a Holiday ’25 drop, so expect major updates before the year is out.
