The New Balance 992 Made In USA “Driftwood” Releases On December 11th

As the end of 2025 looms, so with it comes the end of another season of Teddy Santis’ Made in USA collection. From the moment that the full capsule was revealed right before its earnest rollout began, both we and New Balance devotees singled out a snakeskin edition of the New Balance 992 as one to watch within that crowd. Whether you’ve availed yourself of previous steps in the Fall/Winter 2025 mix or have been holding out until this pair touched down, it’s now becoming tangible as official images and drop details emerge.

Overall, the palette sticks close to what Santis and the Boston brand have explored the whole way through their now-storied partnership, creating an overall earthy palette of beige, tan, brown, and off-white. Those still luxe in its own right, that trademark aesthetic trademark isn’t what makes this such a standout; it’s the snakeskin overlays that really set this one apart. Outside of a few Chinese New Year pairs and the recent Joe Freshgoods New Balance 2010 duo, these reptilian textures are almost never within NB’s wheelhouse. A few pops of translucent cushioning within the midsole and grounded hits of grey under the collar and black in the outsole round out this arrangement.

To reiterate our headline, the New Balance 992 “Driftwood” releases on December 11th via NewBalance.com and partnering retailers, clocking in at $200. Catch official images below and keep our “Where To Buy” widget within reach for a store list and direct pick-up links.
