New Balance Dips The 1906L Loafer In All-Over “Concord”

As we’ve noted before, the New Balance 1906L benefitted from and suffered a bit from its head start in the market, the first mainstream “sneaker loafer” design of the current wave. While that meant that its initial release was colored by a lack of consumer familiarity with the category, it equally meant that the fashion-forward could become early adopters on the “if you know you know” model.

We’re now approaching nearly two years since the silhouette become public by way of its Junya Watanabe collaboration, yet the Boston brand is clearly aimed at keeping energy around it at a high. The latest trick in their bag is a run of vibrant monochromatic looks, of which the New Balance 1906L “Concord” serves a key role. Draped With an upper draped in uninterrupted royal blue, that comprehensive palette doesn’t come to an end until you reach the sole unit, where more standard tonality takes over with a black outsole and silver ABZORB pods.

The New Balance 1906L “Concord” becomes the latest member of the brand’s next season catalog, expected to touch down for Spring/Summer ’26. Be ready for the standard $160 MSRP once this pair touches down. Keep watch over this pair and all of the most notable upcoming ones via our Sneaker Release Dates page.
