It’s been all systems go for New Balance 1890 collaborations in 2026, the Boston brand charging up its new hybrid lifestyle model by pulling in s-tier names from vastly different ends of its rolodex. In one corner we have splashy releases from Action Bronson and Joe Freshgoods, both distinctly belonging to their creators yet sharing a loud, playful visual identity. In the other, the maestros of minimalism at JJJJound are readying a duo of the understated, quiet luxury variety.
You’ve already seen JJJJound’s black New Balance 1890, that shoe striking an unmistakably contemporary note with black and white color blocking and leather “N” logos. Now we’ve got another to report. JJJJound’s latest Spring/Summer 2026 teaser reveals a lighter alternative featuring a white base, grey overlays, and subtle yellow and navy blue accents (not unlike their recent ASICS GEL-Kayano 14) We’re only working off one out-of-focus image for now, but it shouldn’t take long for the Montreal design studio to give us a closer look.
No release info for the JJJJound x New Balance 1890 has been announced as of this writing, but we expect the two colorways to launch together in the near future. We’ll circle back as soon as we hear more.
