Nike Made A Friends And Family Air Force 1 Canvas For Paris Fashion Week

Nike Made A Friends And Family Air Force 1 Canvas For Paris Fashion Week

Nike’s presence at Paris Fashion Week has yielded no shortage of compelling footwear for SS27 like the Air Bakin’ Low and Laceless Air Max 97, but we’ve just discovered one that will never hit the public.

Created specifically as a Friends & Family release, this special-edition Air Force 1 celebrates Nike’s activities in Paris while simultaneously paying tribute to one of the silhouette’s most beloved constructions. The shoe is built atop a canvas upper, immediately recalling the coveted Air Force 1 Canvas build that have become increasingly sought after among collectors. The vintage canvas editions developed a loyal following thanks to their unique shape and distinctive aging characteristics, and original pairs have become prized collector’s items, making Nike’s timing to revisit the build close to perfect.

Revealed in photos shared to Sneaker News by Bernie Gross of Extra Butter, this F&F edition for PFW SS27 arrives in a vibrant orange canvas upper contrasted by crisp white Swooshes, back-tabs, laces, and midsoles. Embroidered at the heel is a reference to Paris’ 3rd arrondissements where the historic Le Marais districts exists and where Nike’s current product space resides. More importantly, the shoe carries the 2001 shape of the silhouette.

Again, this Air Force 1 is not expected to release to the public, but don’t be surprised if pairs start to circulate among resellers of high-end, sought-after footwear.
