While perhaps overshadowed early in its adidas partnership by names like Grace Wales Bonner and Bad Bunny, Australia’s Song For The Mute has earned plenty of flowers through some of its more recent collaborations. The label still isn’t quite at that mainstream tier, in all honesty, but continues to win people over with a remarkably consistent track record. Its Fall/Winter 2026 collection with adidas may be its best yet, having first been previewed at Paris Fashion Week in January and now finally gearing up for a public release.
The collection includes three colorways each of the adidas Samba and SL 72 Pro. The Sambas incorporate collapsible heels, effectively turning the traditional sneaker into something of a slip-on house shoe if you so choose. Meanwhile, the SL 72 Pros combine the upper of the “PT” or “prototype” version of the model with a Lightstrike midsole similar to that of the hugely popular Adizero EVO SL trainer.
The colorways reflect Song For The Mute’s elevated yet somewhat crunchy aesthetic, with the Sambas arriving in green suede, glossy black leather, and brown nubuck. The SL 72 Pros come in white, mustard yellow, and blue/off-white, all with subtly pre-scuffed midsoles.
Song For The Mute’s adidas Fall/Winter 2026 collection has begun appearing on retailer calendars for a September 18th, 2026 launch. See official images of all six footwear styles below before deciding what to cop.
