Matt Varga If you’re an Air Max 95 fan (given its status as one of the most beloved silhouettes in the Swoosh’s vaunted history, that’s plenty of you), you’ve had an embarrassment of options to enjoy its “Big Bubble” revival. Quite literally in the past week, the Sergio Lozano design has added a GORE-Tex overhaul, sneakerboot-like I-95 colorways, and a regional “Liverpool” edition to the upcoming slate for its most dedicated devotees.
All of those pairs carry either real material overhauls or special edition flair, but as we now know well, Beaverton isn’t afraid to simply trot out new color-ups to pace the space between those more high-profile inventions. To be sure, a smattering of canvas siding does iterate on the usual composition of the model with the Air Max 95 “Light Bone,” but overall, this presents another sensible grey gradient variation. Almost mirroring the “Hot Curry” combination, hi-vis orange paces the tongue and the rear Swoosh before more fiery shades paint the embedded Air unit.
