But then again, Willy Chavarria has time and again proven his ability to think outside the box, bringing his transformative powers to multiple adidas silhouettes and thriving at the intersection of sport and contemporary menswear.
Coming soon to adidas and retailers is a brand new collaborative high-top version of the adidas Megaride AG, a model Chavarria himself actually helped bring to market with a collab series earlier this year. The springy Megaride cushioning platform is kept the same, while the sides incorporate the same skeletal “Bones” tooling debuted via Willy’s recent World Cup collection.
Up top is where things get real interesting. Triangular flaps with black leather exteriors and mesh inners hug each side of the ankle, complete with what appears to be some extra external padding for good measure. A similarly simple leather flap covers the forefoot, followed by a larger mesh tongue internally. It’s not exactly clear whether the boot is a slip-on or if there’s a traditional lacing setup underneath, though the latter is probably more likely.
The Willy Chavarria adidas Megaride AG High drops October 3rd, 2026 alongside a matching take on the low-top “Bones” version, priced at $280 and $230, respectively. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
