Matt Varga It’s time for the annual KITH trip, well-timed as a culmination of a busy few months for Ronnie Fieg and the NYC imprint as a whole. The 15th anniversary celebration, resulting in a compendium of the brand’s many, many collaborations and a physical archive showcase to go with it, resulted in a retro of the ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 “Salmon Toe.” As any KITH devotee or Fieg himself would tell you, the split-blocked link-up was a watershed moment for the storefront, so it’s only right that the longtime partners reunite for another momentous design, the KITH x Giorgio Armani x ASICS GEL-Mai 0.1.
In a testament to the genuine cultural cachet that KITH has carved out in the time since cutting the ribbon, the brand has fostered a real relationship with Armani, beginning in 2024 with “The Archetype,” a suiting delivery spread across four “character” concepts. Since then, they’ve been willing to bring additional players into their universe, notably with KITH & Giorgio Armani for the New York Knicks.
Becoming a footwear collaborator is genuinely notable, as the Italian luxury company has typically focused on their own offerings or kept to a small circle of out-of-house talent (10 Corso Como, Sergio Rossi). For KITH x Giorgio Armani x ASICS, they reach for the GEL-Mai 0.1, already a Fieg favorite with a Japan colorway dropping in October 2025. A subtle grey upper and exposed navy GEL units pair with shaggy suede and a proud co-branding stamp just below the collar to add a lot of refinement to what’s an unorthodox model overall.
The KITH x Giorgio Armani x ASICS GEL-Mai 0.1 is expected to release soon, likely as a “Monday Program” launch. While we await concrete details, catch in-hand images below.
