Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack – Auction Recap

Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack – Auction Recap

Jordan X Converse Pack 13

In 2011, Nike took to eBay in an effort to auction off 1,000 pairs of Nike Mags, bringing a grand total of $5,695,190.53 for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research – an average of $3,796.79 per pair. Two Sunday’s ago, Jordan Brand teamed up with Converse in a commemorative release with its own charitable goals – raising funds for the James R. Jordan Foundation; twenty-three of the thirty sets were put up for auction and were sold in record numbers, gaining a total of $170,310 with individual auctions ranging between $6,301 and $8,400. All-in-all, each unit of the Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack cashed in $7,400 – nearly double the average price of the Nike Mag 2011. It’s clear that eBay auctions are the best way to not only maximize publicity of the auctions, but gain the highest bids. Will we see future eBay-exclusive charity releases? Let us know if you’re surprised at the final numbers of the Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack auctions, and we’ll keep you updated with more info on future charity-auction releases.
