Kanye West has not been shy about his displeasure with Nike over the last few months. We’re just around the corner of the official release of the adidas Yeezy, but instead of savoring the moment of having his dream come true with the help of adidas, Kanye’s still throwing shade in the way of the Beaverton brand as he asks fans “should Nike be afraid of Kanye West?”. Losing the most influential pop culture icon of the current generation to a competitor isn’t exactly easy to follow, especially if you have all of his celebrity pals making the Yeezy Boosts leak such a huge event, but Nike has remained mum on the subject as they look forward to some lofty (yet attainable) profit goals.
There’s no doubt that the Yeezy adidas kicks will move the needle for the three-stripes brand, but whether or not the Kanye West adidas collaboration will actually strike “fear” or even the slightest bit of worry is still up for debate.
