Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE Gets Inspired By The Derby Racecourse For Upcoming New Balance Collaboration

While brogue styling isn’t entirely new to Invincible (it was featured in their last New Balance collaboration in 2013), this snazzy detail for the gentleman acts as the primary focus on the Taiwanese shop’s next partnership with the American-born footwear brand. This time around, Invincible uses the 996 silhouette built with sturdy suede and mesh upper, caviar leather at the heel, REVlite cushioning, and the aforementioned brogue detailing that lines the upper panels of the shoe. The aesthetic itself is inspired by the sartorial tradition of the Derby racecourse, a centuries old sporting event that takes place annually during the first weekend of May.
