With reports swirling and interest rising around Virgil Abloh‘s upcoming slate of collaborative Off-White Nike releases, the designer has proved yet again that nobody can create hype and desirability around limited product quite like he can. No matter if it’s his Air Force 1s, “Menta” Air Max 97s or upcoming Zoom Fly SPs, the globe-trotting, Chicago-born multihyphenate has his finger firmly on the pulse of “cool” in street and sneaker culture — and now an extensive set of images of Abloh’s new volt AF1s have surfaced.
Although the striking volt color is what captures the eye upon first glance, the shoes are also replete with special details. The upper features a combo of classic canvas and new-age ripstop on its panels, while raised seams emphasize the construction of each and every piece. A nappy suede on the eyestay and heel adds a rough-hewn touch, and the large black Swoosh is delicately stitched on with volt green thread and also features a small orange tab. Helvetica font appears on the midsole, and for a final interesting touch, a factory-style production code graces the heel of each shoe. Abloh’s new Air Forces are set to drop this November, so check out the well-stocked gallery of images below for your most detailed look at the new kicks yet, and be sure to stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates as they’re available.
