Jovani Hernandez UNDEFEATED has been a Nike and Jordan collaborator that has arguably never missed in its takes on fan-favorite models from both brands. The Los Angeles-based boutique did it with the Air Jordan 4 in 2005 and with the Air Max 97 in 2017, and it’s set to add to its growing laundry list of Beaverton-backed releases with the Air Max 90. Originally rumored as an eight-pack – four white, four black – the UNDEFEATED Air Max 90 saw its “Blue Fury” and “Solar Red” versions released in small quantities back in September via Nike’s SNKRS Pass, but a complete, wider drop has just been hinted at via UNDEFEATED’s Instagram account. With a caption reading “Coming Soon,” the teaser image showcases four Air Max 90 heel panels laid out on an off-white background. Unlike the traditional “Nike Air” branding found on this molded piece, the looming release will don the California-based brand’s “5Strikes” logo on at least one of the shoes in a range of colors, from the already-released blue and red to the yet-to-hit-retail “Optic Yellow” and “Green Spark” iterations.
