Michael Le After an agonizing, isolation-filled year, 2021 has finally arrived. And for its first week, we’re to see a number of new releases — some from Jordan Brand, others from adidas’ on-going A-ZX series.
To kick off the week, the Jumpman will be debuting Russell Westbrook’s Why Not Zer0.4 with the LA-inspired “Upbringing” colorway. Before we see the FACETASM collab and the other inaugural few, the brand will proffer the Air Jordan 35 in a Bred scheme and the much bolder Air Jordan 1 “Volt Gold.” Nike, in number, outdoes Jordan by a mile, as they’re not only bringing out the UCLA-themed Undefeated Air Max 97 but also a slew of woolen GRs.
While the aforementioned two went into January in 5th gear, adidas and New Balance have kept it light. The latter, alongside long-time collaborator Stray Rats, will be bringing the 574 silhouette back to the spotlight in two loud, fitting arrangements. Similarly, the Three Stripes have turned the ZX5000 silken with Renaissance grade influences.
