Jovani Hernandez Back in October 2020, adidas announced a long-term partnership with LEGO. While specifics about the union weren’t disclosed, product and lifestyle-oriented initiatives rooted in creativity were alluded to. Recently, official images of a six-pair adidas ZX 8000 collection have revealed the first proposition from what’ll surely be a fruitful collaboration.
Akin to their first joint-effort from September 2020, each of the six forthcoming options indulge in co-branding throughout the tongue and sock-liner. Mixed-materials uppers, however, opt for tonal arrangements instead of multi-color palettes. From muted “Ash” and “Black” to eye-catching “Yellow” and “Royal Blue,” the colorways that appear on the Torsion-supported silhouette nod to the toy brick. Dubraes, lace guards and heel structures up the ante with their raised detailing, which ostensibly enables wearers to ornate their pairs with already-owned LEGO products.
