Michael Le Last year, the Nike Air Max 90‘s anniversary was spent celebrating the original — its construction, colorways, and rich history. And while we did see a few new collaborations, it was nothing more than rumors of some upcoming revivals that elicited the most excited response. And now, at the beginning of 2021, many of these leaks are starting to take shape as in-hand images of the DQM x Air Max 90 “Bacon” retro have finally surfaced.
Like the original, the pair is visually inspired by the beloved breakfast staple, sporting pink leather Swooshes and dark red exterior suedes. And while the side panels and base are originally hued a fatty tan, they appear far less saturated here as they more heavily contrast the khaki laces and matching lining. Dark brown molds then finish the tooling throughout, rounding off the construction at the tooling, eye stay, Air Max branding, and heel.

Another set of images of the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” retro have been added below. A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but pairs are likely to launch in March to coincide with Air Max Day (March 26th).
