COMME des GARÇONS HOMME’s New Balance MI574 Replaces The Classic N With A Transparent Synthetic Window

COMME des GARÇONS HOMME’s New Balance MI574 Replaces The Classic N With A Transparent Synthetic Window

Typically, Rei Kawakubo’s triple black collaborations are left to CdG BLACK. But this season, it seems yet another diffusion, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME, is joining on the fun alongside New Balance and the MI574.

Unlike the 57/40 introduced not long ago, the MI574 bears a closer resemblance to the original. In general shape, it could even pass for being identical as the paneling and fixtures line up more or less. The branding, however, is a bit bolder and more unique, forgoing the usual oversized “N” for a nod to the Japanese label. What’s more, the side is layered atop with a transparent, synthetic window, one that adds more interesting texture to an upper otherwise replete with black leathers and mesh. Moreover, the tongue, forefoot, and sole add white in the form of labels, contrast stitch, and rectangular prints, respectively.

For a closer look, see the retailer images below. Pairs are currently available right now at Doverstreetmarket.com for a retail of £235.

In other news, the Travis Scott Air Max 1 is seemingly on the way.
