Throughout 2020, NIKE, Inc. confirmed that the Air Jordan 1 Mid is still, in fact, selling given how popular the silhouette became despite high after-market prices. For its latest proposition, the non-original trim has appeared in a kid’s-exclusive “Arctic Orange/White/Black” colorway that’s set to arrive at retailers in Asia today (it’s already April 10th in Japan).
Akin to previously-surfaced ripe-for-spring styles, the forthcoming retro primarily indulges in a “colorless” leather base. Profile swooshes, tongues and collar lining, however, introduce stark “Black” contrast into the mix. Labels on the tongue and “Wings” logos on the lateral ankle flap further deviate from the muted color palette with vibrant “Arctic Orange” flair, which resembles a coral tone more than it does a citrus one. Nevertheless, the titular hue also makes its way onto the outsole, delivering a preview at what a Nike Dunk Low with the same color palette might look like given its near-identical design.
