Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy unit has seemingly gotten a fire lit under it as it’s taken control of the mainstream sneaker consciousness over the last two months after some time in the shadows. Although ‘ye’s BOOST-cushioned models continue to sell out, they’ve taken a backseat to the Yeezy Foam Runner and Yeezy Slides, the latter set to launch in three colorways on April 26th.
“Core,” “Resin” and “Pure” styles are nothing new to the slip-on Yeezy proposition, but that doesn’t make them any less covetable. The two-piece shoe is memed and criticized whenever it gains steam on social media, but it’s the cheapest entry-point into Mr. West’s current footwear empire. Earth tones cover the entirety of all three options, with “Resin” proffering a refreshing green take. Little kid and toddler editions of the forthcoming slides haven’t emerged, but that may change whenever an official YEEZY SUPPLY launch is announced. Nonetheless, other Yeezys still scheduled for the remainder of 2021 will satisfy any desire for smaller sizes.
