Michael Le Rivalries new and old face off in Space Jam: A New Legacy, the sequel to one of the most prolific basketball films to date. And while LeBron may be cast in the leading role, he arguably plays support to Bugs Bunny, the Looney Tunes franchise’s leading man. Here, the wise-cracking rabbit sees the spotlight he deserves as he goes against Marvin the Martian atop this LeBron 18 Low.
Appropriate to the versus themes, the colorway is split right down the middle. Good leads along the lateral, with Bugs’ signature palette effectively distilled down to the silhouette’s parts. Its base is clad in a light grey, overlays are tinted a smidge darker, and the Swoosh pops like that of the character’s pink nose. What’s more, the Air Unit below is marked with “What’s up, Doc?” in nod to one of his most iconic lines. Marvin The Martian is not represented quite as accurate across the medial. The reds of the alien’s suit are only found along the side’s own cushioning — imprinted with “This makes me very angry” as well — while the rest of the upper strings together dark black neutrals and helmet-reminiscent green metallic. Elsewhere, aside from the “Tune Squad” insignia, the inside tongue and insole display features from both protagonist and antagonist alike.
