The Nike Air Max 97 Adds Wear-Away Uppers To The “Alter And Reveal” Collection

The Nike Air Max 97 Adds Wear-Away Uppers To The “Alter And Reveal” Collection

While it may be a part of the same pack as this morning’s Air Force 1, the Nike Air Max 97 “Alter And Reveal” interprets the theme in entirely different ways. Whereas the aforementioned added layers of tear-able netting, the Christian Tresser design prefers a subtle wear-away treatment.

But at a glance, that’s not at all apparent. Before it sees any distressing, the pair appears pristine, grounded by way of the top line’s standard mesh and synthetic overlays. It’s only along the bottom half that the core concept takes shape, starting first with the leather mudguard. Dyed in navy, this fixture will gradually fade to a much brighter blue, complementing well the layers underneath whose exterior coat turns pink. Moreover, as an accent to the aesthetic as a whole, extra stitching is darned onto the heel.

In other news, A Pink Dunk High Toasty is coming soon.
