Sneaker News The last remaining issue in 1985’s original Nike Dunk High “Be True” collection is the white/university red colorway commonly associated with St. John’s University. Over the last two years, we’ve seen Nike bring back the other icons in a staggered roll-out, and finally the original set will see completion as we gear up for the release of the Dunk High Retro “University Red”.
Like the previous Retro trim Dunks, these releases feature soft leather uppers that provide that broken-in feel that have made Dunks such a hit with the modern footwear-fashionista. The red/white colorway specifically has been a hit as 2020’s Dunk Low “St. John’s” stands as one of the most coveted of the original college colorways.
Currently, retailers are reporting a release for March 2022 – a fitting schedule considering the NCAA March Madness tournament that will be in progress. Full family sizes are coming, so stay tuned.
