First seen in mid-September, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “True Blue” has recently emerged in on-foot images ahead of its anticipated January 2023 release date.
Akin to a low-top version of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker, the upcoming retro indulges in a rich blue hue accompanied by grey and white contrast. The titular tone – which ostensibly nods to the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” from 1988 – animates everything from the profile swooshes to the leather overlays along the tongue and around the toe; “Air Jordan” branding on the lateral ankle flap follow suit. Lastly, the yet-to-drop proposition features a muted sole unit, with the elephant-reminiscent grey taking over the oft-imitated outsole below.
