Michael Le Owned by one of the forefathers of Nike, LAIKA is a well-celebrated animation studio with several iconic films under their belt. And in honor of their Oscar-nominated triumphs, the masters of stop motion are teaming up with Converse on a Chuck 70 By You experience built around five different motion pictures: Missing Link, Kubo and the Two Strings, The Boxtrolls, ParaNorman, and Coraline.
Borrowing inspiration from the characters, patterns, and iconography used across the above-mentioned classics, the LAIKA x Converse Chuck 70 By You allows participants to create an entirely unique colorway that simultaneously celebrates the studio’s filmography. There are over 20 different options for the upper alone, including 8 different colors as well as 11 different prints. And among the latter, there are two for every film as well as one that combines nods to all of the above. What’s more, the laces, eyelets, medial patch, and heel print can be customized as well.
