Founded in Glasgow, Scotland in 2017, Doyenne Skateboards is a women-led cohort dedicated to inclusive, gender neutral products manufactured with ethics and sustainability in mind. While not as internationally recognized as other skate groups, the European brand has landed a Nike SB Blazer Low collaboration.
Clad in quiet tans, whites, and browns, the unreleased pair features a number of modifications throughout its upper and sole unit. For starters, the shoe is constructed from a hemp canvas-reminiscent material, which sets the stage for a medley of other design cues specific to the Scottish label. Layered foxing injects personality into the subdued Nike SB while also providing increased durability to the fabric upper. Elsewhere, additional stitching at the sides also help with longevity. Doyenne Skateboards stamps its name on the lateral heel and sockliner, leaving its mark on the Swoosh’s large skateboarding legacy. Lastly, the outsole appears with an abstract and “unfinished” pattern.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead. Neither party has disclosed launch details yet, but that’s likely to change as summer approaches.
