Towards the end of February, Nike began packing up their fictional bags for a road trip down the Pacific Coast. Making their first stop in The Bay with an honorary Air Max 1 dressed in a myriad of crisp white textiles, the Beaverton-based brand has recently pulled up to the entertainment capital of the world, clothing the Nike Air Force 1 Low in a successional LA-based ensemble.
Mirroring the Tinker Hatfield design through a disparate use of textures, the AF1’s typically all-leather upper is swapped out for a clad denim-coated array of panels, complimented by a premium infusion within the quilted sock liner and stripped inner tongue lining. Accompanied by the city’s staple gothic script logo affixed to the heel in a canvas tongue tab, further branded embellishments come embossed into the tongue and heel tabs. With crisp white accents outfitting the laces and color-matched midsole, a silver metallic grandeur appears atop the laces Nike interstate charm and accompanying eyelets before a gum treatment ensues across the tread underfoot.
While we await the pair’s expected release date, in the meantime enjoy a first look at the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “Los Angeles” below.
